It just seems somehow different here, entire timelines missing instead of just a few months or years or whatever, or someone coming back after having disappeared the way he heard happened. That seemed, for lack of a better word, less inexplicable. Here, the rules have changed, if there are even any rules at all, and while Eames does appreciate that a great deal, it still leaves them to try to figure out what it all means, if it means anything at all. "The city part, I'm glad for," he says. "The empty part is going to take a bit more adjusting." He likes it. It makes it feel more real, instead of populated by projections.
